Toyota Fortuner is undoubtedly India’s most popular full-size SUV. This SUV sells like hotcakes in Japan and shows no signs of slowing down, regardless of price. But when you consider the cost of this SUV, have you ever wondered where that money actually goes? Have you ever wondered who is actually getting the insane price tag for this SUV? You’ll be surprised to know that it’s not Toyota or its dealers who sell all the Fortuners and make a lot of money. Instead, the government of India gets the lion’s share.

Information Shared by Anvit Tyagi Via Instagram

Yes, that’s right. The SUV’s maker, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, is not the company that benefits most from the Fortuner. Toyota dealers aren’t the ones making the most money selling Fortuners. Instead, it is the Indian government that makes an incredible amount of money through excessive taxes. Anvit Tyagi recently explained the complete cost breakdown of the Toyota Fortuner on his Instagram page.

The creator of this video begins by mentioning that the actual cost of building the Fortuner would shock anyone. And he says exactly the same thing he said in the previous paragraph. He further said that since the Toyota Fortuner is over 4 meters long, measures 4.7 meters and is also equipped with a 2.8-litre engine, the government will initially impose 28% GST and then add another 22% like CESS. explained.

The presenter then stated that the actual price of the car was only Rs 26.67 lakh. Then on the car, he says that when he adds his GST of 28%, the cost increases to Rs 34,13,760. After this, the moderator will add his CESS of 22% and the cost of Fortuner will be Rs 41,64,787 for him. Then the government doesn’t stop there; it will then add registration and then add something called green cess. All this brings the total cost of Toyota Fortuner to 4,427,000 rupees.

Finally, he added, the funniest part of this whole situation is yet to come. He added that the interesting thing is that after collecting Rs 18,000 crore for the Fortuner alone, Toyota, the manufacturer of the SUV, has only Rs 45,000 to Rs 50,000 left. He added that this is not an actual number, but has been estimated by many other analysts. It is also estimated that Toyota dealers earn an average of around Rs 100,000 from the sale of each Fortuner.

Upcoming 2024 Toyota Fortuner Hybrid

In other Toyota Fortuner news, images of what appears to be the next-generation Toyota Fortuner were recently leaked online. Recently leaked images of the next Fortuner reveal that the upcoming SUV will feature a refreshed front profile inspired by the popular Tacoma pickup truck. The new design features a larger grille, new headlights, and a revised bumper, giving the SUV a bold, aggressive look. Changes at the rear are still pending, but there is speculation that new taillights could be part of the redesign.

The leaked images did not show the cabin of the next Fortuner. However, it is speculated that the 2024 Toyota Fortuner will undergo a complete facelift with the latest features and meet the needs of today’s drivers. Another notable addition to the Toyota Fortuner’s interior is said to be an all-new electric sunroof that adds a touch of luxury to the SUV. It is unclear whether this sunroof is a panoramic unit or a single window.

Finally, the other most exciting development in the upcoming Fortuner is the possible introduction of a mild hybrid diesel engine. Toyota plans to improve the Fortuner’s fuel efficiency and environmental friendliness by integrating a 48V battery and electric motor generator into the existing 2.8-litre diesel engine, similar to Toyota’s popular MPV Innova Highcross. The aims.

It will break cover on July 5 and is likely to go on sale on the same day

  • Invicto will be the top of the automaker’s MPV line-up.
  • There will be some changes to the design, including 3-piece LED lighting and a new grille.
  • Maruti may offer a new themed interior compared to the Toyota MPV’s tawny design.
  • Features on board will include a panoramic sunroof, a 10-inch touchscreen and ADAS.
  • It gets the same petrol and hybrid petrol powertrains as the Innova Hycross.
  • Maruti could price the Invicto from Rs 19 lakh (ex-showroom).

The MPV derived from the Toyota Innova Highcross has been officially named ‘Invict’ after recent rumours about the name ‘Maruti Engage’. It is said to be the automaker’s latest flagship. The new Maruti Invicto MPV will debut on July 5th and is expected to hit the market on the same day.

What would it look like?

The Maruti Invicto is nearly identical to the Toyota Innova Hycross, but recently released spy shots show some brand-specific changes to distinguish the two. These include 3-piece LED headlights and taillights and a new grille design with two chrome strips connecting the headlights. There is a high possibility that new aluminium wheels will also be installed.

The interior dashboard layout is similar to the Toyota MPV, but may have a new cabin theme.

Equipment installed in Maruti MPV

Invict is supposed to get the same equipment list as Toyota. This includes premium features such as a 10-inch touchscreen device, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, digital driver display and power tailgate.

Occupant safety is ensured by up to six airbags, vehicle stability control (VSC) and front and rear parking sensors, making it the first Maruti to offer Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

A Choice Of Two Petrol Powertrains

The Maruti replacement for the Toyota Innova Highcross will have the same powertrain options. The MPV comes standard with a 2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (174 hp / 205 Nm) and his CVT automatic transmission. No manual option. The Toyota MPV also features a powerful hybrid powertrain using a 186 hp (combined) 2-litre petrol engine and an electric motor. Combined with the E-CVT, it delivers an efficiency of over 21 km/h.

How much will it cost?

We expect the automaker to price the Invict at Rs 1.9 lakh (excluding showrooms). The only direct rival is the Toyota Innova Highcross, which puts it between Kia Carens and Carnival.

The Toyota Land Cruiser is one of the world’s most popular SUVs and has been around for decades.

Have you ever wondered why a VVIP like Prime Minister Modi would choose a Toyota Land Cruiser to build an armoured vehicle? Well, this blog will attempt to answer this question in detail. SUVs like the Land Cruiser need no introduction. It has existed since World War II. At that time he was used in warfare. However, as time went on, Toyota believed that the Land Cruiser’s robustness and reliability would allow it to enter the mass market. Thus, the mass-market Land Cruiser was born in America in the mid-1950s. Within a few years, it became the best-selling Toyota in the country. The rest, as they say, is history.

Armoured Toyota Land Cruiser

This video was uploaded to YouTube by Biturbo Media. This YouTuber explains that the Land Cruiser is the most used vehicle to be converted into an armoured vehicle by celebrities around the world. These include top politicians like Prime Minister Modi and top stars like Salman Khan. There are various steps to convert a regular car into an armoured vehicle. This includes adding bulletproof steel to the case, leaded glass bulletproof glass, polycarbonate lenses, and more. Heavy-duty bumpers and tires that can go some distance even after a punctured tire, and rebuilt mechanisms including mechanical parts and engine upgrades to carry the extra load.

Although these are additional accessories, it is important to realize that any vehicle undergoing these modifications must first have a solid foundation. Land Cruisers have always been known as rugged SUVs. This is why it was founded during the war. In addition, it is widely regarded as one of the world’s most reliable SUVs. People have already put a million miles on it because its engines and components are designed to last for decades.

What We Think

Toyota vehicles in general, and the Land Cruiser SUV in particular, have proven to be incredibly durable. It can be seen from the fact that the used price of the Land Cruiser is almost the same level as the original asking price. The waiting time for the current generation model is a whopping four years. Therefore, the fact that these engines and vehicles are very reliable was the main reason for choosing the Land Cruiser over other vehicles that would be converted into armoured vehicles for VVIP. These days, Toyota also puts a lot of effort into interior design and comfort to put stars to shame. I can’t think of a better car for this job.

Honda Elevate Front

An Impressive Design

The Honda Elevate features a bold, boxy design language with a touch of crossover appeal. The SUV will have a huge grille, stylish LED headlights and daytime running lights, and a sleek bumper with grey elements.

On the side, the Elevate has a traditional SUV look with body cladding and squared wheel arches, but here the crossover look is more evident. Mount his ORVM, usually on the A-pillar, to the door panel. Completing the look are 17-inch diamond-cut black and silver alloy wheels.

The rear profile is fitted with a set of elegant LED taillights with connecting reflector elements that house the Honda logo. The body panels continue from the wheel arches to the rear bumper, where gray elements are also added.

Premium greeted Interior

Honda moved away from the City’s outdated and simplistic interior design in favour of offering a more premium and stylish experience. Inside, you’ll be greeted by an uncluttered black-and-brown two-tone dashboard, while leather-like upholstery adds a touch of luxury.

The Elevate is feature-rich with amenities such as an electric sunroof, a 10.25-inch touchscreen system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless phone charger, and a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster.

Safety feature!

Safety features on the Elevate SUV include six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control (AT only) and ISOFIX child seat mounts. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and a CVT automatic transmission, the latter also equipped with paddle shifters. Like many contemporaries in this segment, Honda’s SUV will not be offered a diesel engine. Honda could also later offer its 1.5-litre engine with Strong Hybrid technology, as seen in the City Hybrid.

Here are five things to know about Honda’s upcoming Creta rival.

The Honda Elevate is set to be unveiled worldwide tomorrow, finally marking the Japanese automaker’s entry into the mid-size SUV segment. Crucial is the return of the much-anticipated SUV to Honda India’s portfolio since the CR-V was discontinued in 2020. And while the Amaze and City sedans are fairly consistent, there’s no denying he needs an SUV in the automaker’s portfolio given the demand for body styles.

The Elevate becomes the ninth model in the segment and Citroën recently joined the C3 Aircross. Yes, Honda was late to the party, but it did a decent job fending off its competitors as well.

But there are also many expectations. Since Elevate is based in a city, it makes a good base in its own right. Additionally, spy photos suggest the design will be in line with Honda’s global SUV portfolio, including the CR-V and HR-V, with ADAS features and possibly even a hybrid powertrain someday. are doing. Ahead of the global reveal, here are his 5 things to know about Honda’s new Creta rival.

1. Honda Elevate’s styling is in line with brand’s global SUVs

The Elevate will share styling cues with the sixth-generation CR-V and the new-generation WR-V announced at the end of last year. The spy shot features a flat nose with a large Honda logo in the center and LED headlights with a sharp design reminiscent of the new HR-V. The rear is equipped with tail lights similar to the new WR-V. Other important design highlights are the square wheel arches, the unique twist of the rear window and the multi-spoke alloy wheels. In terms of dimensions, the elevator is expected to be 4.2-4.3 meters long, which matches the segment.

2. Honda Elevate’s equipment list will be shared with City

Inside, however, further similarities to the city are to be expected. On the other hand, most of the equipment list will be carried over, and this includes ADAS functionality. In fact, we recently told you that all future Honda vehicles launched in India will have ADAS features. Honda also confirmed a single-pane sunroof for the Elevate in the teaser, which isn’t quite in line with the segment where most competitors offer panoramic sunroofs. Other features could include City’s 8.0-inch touchscreen and semi-digital instrument cluster, wireless phone connectivity, wireless charging, and more.

3. Honda Elevate shares platform and powertrain with City

The Elevate is based on the fifth-generation City platform and also shares the petrol powertrain with the sedan. So the Elevate will be powered by a 121 hp 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual or CVT transmission. City’s 1.5-litre petrol hybrid engine will also be added at a later date, but there will be no diesel.

4. Honda Elevate has its work cut out

Elevate is now entering one of the most competitive market segments that Hyundai Creta has long dominated. These days, the duo of Grand Vitara and Hyryder is also hugely popular, and the C3 Aircross will soon bring the versatility of its three-row seating arrangement to the segment. Even the Kia Seltos will soon get a mid-life facelift with even more equipment and a new turbo petrol powertrain. With top-of-the-line features and plenty of competitive engine options, the Elevate will compete with high-performance SUVs.

5. Expected price and release of Honda Elevate

Following this announcement, Elevate pricing will be announced in August of this year. Given that Honda’s prices are usually slightly higher than its rivals, expect prices to start at around INR 11-12 Lakh (showroom prices). However, since only one petrol engine is offered, the top-end petrol automatic model could cost around Rs 17 lakh (excluding showrooms).

Quitting a job can be an emotional experience, especially for someone who has spent a lot of time and built an emotional connection to their job. An example of this was the retirement of a bus driver who had served for 30 years, an event that moved him to tears.

The driver, Muthupandi, has been working as a driver for the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) for 30 years. In an incident documented by a bus conductor, Muthupandi was the last to be seen exiting the bus. He hugged the bus, visibly moved, with tears in his eyes.

The Driver Shared How His Profession Earned Him Social Respect

Muthupandi took to the camera to express his deep respect for his work, acknowledging that it gave him social status and respect when he started 30 years ago. He even reveals that he got married after securing his job as his chauffeur.

It’s unclear if this is the same bus he’s driven throughout his career, but it’s likely. Still, it’s clear that Muthupandi spent a lot of time inside the bus featured in the video. Driver’s touching farewell video went viral on various social media platforms.

Many of these bus drivers were hired decades ago and have spent their entire lives driving the same routes. Many incidents like this show that drivers have a deep emotional bond with their buses, which have become an integral part of their daily lives over the years.

Route closures make bus drivers emotional

Last year, the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) announced the launch of a new long-distance bus service called Swift. As part of his KSRTC’s plan to replace the old interstate buses with new KSRTC Swift buses, a legally independent company was created to operate these buses. As a result, services such as the Changanaseri-Velangkani interstate super-express were suspended, and the bus driver, Mr Ponnukuttan, who had a strong emotional bond with the bus, was greatly affected mentally. However, surprisingly, KSRTC has announced that it will maintain the service.

The report said Ponnukuttan had been driving a bus on the route for 10 years. He was appalled to learn that the Super Express service on this line had been replaced by Swiftbus. The news was a shock to him. However, it was stated that not only the driver but also the passengers were happy with the decision.

With the increased use of dashboard cameras, it is now possible to view different accidents from different perspectives. This is something that happened some time ago that shows why slow-moving cars are so dangerous on highways. For this reason, slow-moving vehicles cannot pass on expressways.

Video captured by a Maruti Suzuki Baleno dashcam shows a relatively empty highway somewhere in Tamil Nadu. A Maruti Suzuki Baleno was driving in the rightmost lane at a moderate speed when the driver spotted an autorickshaw.

Read Also: HONDA ELEVATE TESTING SHOTS LEAKED FROM JAPAN OFFICIAL LAUNCH ON 6 JUNE

Instead of slowing, the driver drifts to the left and can pass the auto-rickshaw and keep going. However, the auto-rickshaw also starts running to the left. The driver of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno was unable to find an exit and crashed into the rear of the autorickshaw.

As a result of this accident, a man fell from a rickshaw. Several women sat in the backseat of the auto-rickshaw, which crashed into the Baleno’s hood. No one was seriously injured in this accident.

But who do you think is at fault here?

The driver of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno also tried to pass on the left side of the tricycle, although the primary responsibility for the accident lay with the tricycle driver who changed lanes without checking his mirrors. In general, such autorickshaws do not move when you honk their horns, so the Baleno driver may have tried to overtake them on the left. However, both parties are equally responsible for this crash.

In general, it is recommended to pass vehicles on the right side. It is also important to avoid driving into the blind spots of other vehicles. Trucks in particular have large blind spots, and the limited visibility area for truck drivers is larger on the left side. When overtaking, it is recommended to use the right lane. In India, where right-hand drive vehicles are fitted, visibility is usually better on the right than on the left. On highways, it is preferable to overtake on the right, as there are no right-turn lanes on the right where vehicles can suddenly change direction. Due to the right-hand drive setup, drivers tend to pay more attention to the right than the left.

Therefore, it is recommended to always overtake on the right side. When passing a large vehicle such as a bus or truck, it is important to perform manoeuvres quickly and flash your headlights to signal your intentions. These are basic road safety precautions that help you avoid potential risks. Also, it is important to always pay attention while driving. It is recommended to stop and rest when you feel tired. Alternatively, if possible, consider hiring someone else to drive.

After years of silence, Honda Cars India, the Indian subsidiary of Japanese auto giant Honda, is finally entering the highly competitive midsize SUV segment. The company plans to meet this challenge with an all-new Elevate that will make its official debut on June 6th. The test mule for this upcoming SUV has been spotted being tested multiple times in India just days before its launch, another test vehicle was spotted testing in Japan as well, and other important information about the upcoming SUV. Details have emerged.

Honda Elevate Spy Shots

Images of the latest test mule spotted in Japan show that the Elevate has a strikingly similar aesthetic to the recently launched Honda WR-V SUV in the Indonesian market. First, the Elevate has an upright stance similar to the WR-V. Up front, it has a muscular front end that might include Honda’s signature Jewel Chrome finish grille. The headlights will probably consist entirely of LED units, giving the vehicle a smoother and more aggressive look. A strong front bumper further emphasizes the upright position, with fog lights and possibly a silver skid plate.

Another profile photo of the Elevate test car has been shared, showing the SUV with pleasing proportions. These ratios were reportedly set taking into account the Indian market and buyer preferences. It’s worth noting that Honda doesn’t typically test Indian products in its home market of Japan. However, although the Elevate is probably the first model developed for India, it has also been tested in Japan for the global market. Back in the spy shots, you can also see alloy wheels on the side of the car similar to those found on Honda’s city sedan in India. These alloy wheels are finished in black, but there are reports that top-of-the-range models may also come in black or diamond cut. Lower spec versions may have a silver finish.

One of the sharpest spy shots of the rear of this upcoming SUV was also recently shared. A new spy shot of the rear suggests the taillights are likely carried over from the Indonesian WR-V. These tail lights feature a two-piece light with the top LED section extending to the side of the vehicle. Halogen bulbs may be used for backlights and blinkers. In this spy video, the existence of an advanced driver assistance system “ADAS” is also confirmed. A 360-degree camera setup is visible in one of the side mirrors.

Honda recently announced and confirmed that the Elevate will be equipped with Honda Sensing Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) along with all future Honda vehicles launched in India. For those who don’t know, Honda Sensing ADAS is the brand’s suite of safety technologies designed to increase driver awareness and reduce potential hazards on the road. It integrates various sensors and cameras to provide comprehensive functions that improve driving safety.

Honda Elevate Official Date Poster

The Honda Elevate will be equipped with a 1.5-litre gasoline engine that is also used in Honda’s medium-sized city sedan. The engine produces 150Nm of torque and 121 horsepower. However, it is reported that Honda may tailor performance characteristics to the SUV form factor. Depending on the variant, the SUV could have the same CVT or six-speed manual transmission options as the Honda City. Safety features such as Honda’s LaneWatch system, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and the rear-view camera will be installed on the next SUV from June 6th.

To combat air and noise pollution from vehicles on its roads, the Punjab Police have adopted strict anti-violation measures. In a recent case, a repeat offender was arrested for driving a tractor equipped with an illegal 52-speaker audio system known to make loud noises. The Punjab police team determined that the culprits installed the music system on the tractor, making it taller than a typical truck.

The incident occurred in Khanna village, Punjab, where a young man was arrested for driving a completely rebuilt tractor with various modifications and custom features. The highlight of the modification was the 52-speaker sound system installed by the tractor owner.

Read Also: THE BEAST: 27,000 CC V12 ENGINE CAR

The entire audio system, consisting of speakers and amplifiers, was mounted at the rear of the tractor. The police noted that the overall structure, reaching a height of 10-12 feet, exceeded the height of a regular heavy-duty truck. Additionally, the tractor owner was found to be causing disturbances outside schools and colleges by playing excessively loud music from the heavily modified audio system. Furthermore, the tractor was also equipped with a pressure horn, which is prohibited.

The incident happened in Khanna village

Punjab police have arrested a tractor owner who repeatedly violated traffic safety rules. Police said the owner had previously been arrested and warned for similar behaviour but had disobeyed the rules. When the owner of a tractor equipped with an illegal music system and horn was arrested, he tried to escape by driving the tractor at high speed. However, the traffic police managed to detain him and detain him along with the tractor.

A subsequent investigation revealed that the tractor owner had previously been charged with six separate counts. The tractor was found to have been driving without valid insurance, discharge certificate and registration certificate, further complicating the situation for the owner. Police have filed multiple complaints against the tractor owner and said further trials are expected in the district court. They also suggested that fines imposed on tractor owners could range from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 2 lakh.

What modifications are allowed?

Certain modifications can be made to the vehicle without changing the manufacturer’s original specifications. These included cosmetic changes such as a repaint of the car, minor additions such as a rain visor and bumper corner protectors, larger tires and wheels within limits set by the automaker, and pre-approved by the RTO. Including engine replacement. However, if any of these rules are violated, the vehicle owner faces fines such as a fine of Rs.5,000 per alteration or imprisonment for up to six months.

It is important to note that vehicle structural modifications are not permitted by law in India. The Supreme Court of India and the Motor Vehicles Act prohibit such modifications for use on public roads. These vehicles can be used as project vehicles or on private property such as racetracks or farms but can be seized by police if found on public roads.
