Indian Motorcycle has unveiled the limited-edition FTR x 100% R Carbon. The special edition motorbike, developed in partnership with motocross gear manufacturer 100%, pays respect to both 100%’s effect on modern motocross and Indian motorbike’s 123-year heritage. The special edition motorbike, based on the FTR R Carbon, is restricted to just 400 units worldwide and has a variety of distinctive stylistic aspects.


The special edition’s Blue Candy carbon fiber tank, headlamp cowl, seat cowl, and front fender distinguish it from the standard FTR R Carbon. The bike also has red splashes in various places, and the frame is finished in white. In addition, the Ohlins front fork and rear mono-shock spring have been blackened out. With the new Xoom 160, Hero MotoCorp joins the maxi-scooter sector.

At EICMA 2023, Hero MotoCorp unveiled the Xoom 160 moto-scooter, as well as the Xoom 125R scooter. This is the first time Hero has expanded its scooter offering beyond the 125 cc market, into the 160 cc segment. The Xoom 160 is powered by a 156 cc liquid-cooled engine, which differs from the engine found in the Xtreme 160R 4V. The scooter additionally includes Hero’s i3S (idle quiet start-stop system), 14-inch tires with block pattern tread, keyless ignition, remote seat opening, and smart find function. The scooter’s design is similar to Honda’s X-ADV, which is sold in certain European and Asian regions. Hero also promises go-anywhere capabilities on the Xoom 160, however, this has yet to be tested. The scooter has a curb weight of 141 kg.

The step-through shape of the scooter increases its utility, and the tall, sleek front apron with dual-chamber LED headlights and a windshield adds an ADV-style appearance for superb visibility. The scooter is propelled by a mono-shock in the back and a telescopic fork up front.

With an upswept rear seat and an LED taillight, the back portion looks angular. In addition, there is turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth connection, and a computerized instrument panel.

The Hero Xoom 160 motorscooter’s specifications are not known, however, it is expected to be released in India in the first half of 2024.

Ducati has released the newest Hypermotard 698 Mono to the global market. This flexible motorbike, according to the manufacturer, is intended for both city commuting and track performance. Ducati has not yet confirmed the Hypermotard 698 Mono’s possible release in the Indian market.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched the XL750 Transalp in India at a starting price of Rs. 10,99,990 (ex-showroom, Gurugram). This premium adventure tourer will arrive in India via the fully built-up (CBU) route from Japan and will be accessible only through BigWing dealerships.

After a successful debut in India earlier this year, Royal Enfield has now expanded the availability of its flagship model, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, to the North American market.

The Triumph Thruxton Final Edition will be the cafe racer’s final outing. It’s available in a rich metallic paint scheme dubbed “Competition Green.”

The Triumph Thruxton will be phased out in 2024. Having said that, the British company has introduced the Thruxton Final Edition to commemorate the event. The cafe racer’s final hurrah, as the name indicates, will arrive in showrooms in Spring 2024. The Thruxton Final Edition costs £15,095, which amounts to Rs 15.32 lakh. Triumph claims that the Final Edition is a fusion of the Thruxton RS’s design and grace, paying respect to the cafe racer’s racing pedigree. Triumph has saved specific features for the Final Edition in order to separate it from the top-spec RS. One of these is a metallic paint scheme called “Competition Green,” which contrasts with black side panels and mudguards. The artist’s initials are hand-painted in gold accents on the sculpted fuel tank and seat cowl. In addition, each motorbike will come with a one-of-a-kind Final Edition engine emblem with a gold-finished surround and a ‘Final Edition’ graphic infill. The ‘Heritage’ Triumph badge on the tank and the ‘Thruxton Final Edition’ branding receive a similar treatment.


The most special feature, however, is the certificate of authenticity with the bike’s unique VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), which the Thruxton Final Edition will possess. This agreement will be signed by members of the Thruxton 1200 design team as well as Triumph CEO Nick Bloor. Kawasaki has revealed the Ninja 7 Hybrid for the European market, although full specs have yet to be released. At its core is a 451cc parallel-twin engine with an electric motor, generating a combined power output of 58bhp.

Kawasaki has introduced the Ninja 7, which it claims is the world’s first mass-produced hybrid motorbike, to the European market. The ‘Hybrid Electric Vehicle’ is powered by a 451cc parallel-twin water-cooled 4-stroke engine and a 9kW electric motor with a 48V lithium-ion battery. According to the Japanese manufacturer, the combined power output is around 58bhp, which can be increased to 69bhp utilizing an e-boost mode (active for 15 seconds at a time). The petrol mill alone generates around 46bhp. In addition, the Ninja 7 Hybrid foregoes the typical clutch-gear shifter in favor of paddle shifters on the left side, similar to Honda’s DCT motorcycles. DCT (dual-clutch gearbox) technology was first featured in the Honda lineup on the VFR1200F in 2010.

Other Features of the Kawasaki Ninja 7 Hybrid

The Ninja 7 also has an idle stop function to save fuel, a forward and reverse ‘walk mode’ for low-speed maneuvers and parking, an Automatic Launch Position Finder that allows the rider to select the first gear with the push of a button, and three riding modes – EV, Eco Hybrid, and Sport Hybrid. The parallel-twin engine of the Ninja 7 Hybrid is snuggled in a steel trellis frame, with the 48V battery pack positioned towards the center to help control the vehicle’s weight. The Ninja 7’s suspension comprises a telescopic fork up front and a mono-shock up back. The hybrid motorbike features the same two front discs with Nissin calipers as the Ninja 400 and Ninja 650. The bike is equipped with 17-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels wrapped on tubeless Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tires.

Kawasaki Ninja 7 Hybrid: Design

The motorbike inherits a dual-pod headlamp and its surrounding body from the 2024 Ninja ZX-6R, while the fairing-mounted turn indicators are similar to those seen on the Ninja 400. The undercowl is matte lime green, while the body panels are silver/black.

According to the manufacturer, the Ninja 7 Hybrid is a mid-size motorcycle with performance equivalent to a 650-700cc bike with rapid acceleration to rival that of a 1,000cc-class supersport model from a standing start. It does, however, have the same fuel efficiency as a 250cc motorcycle. As of now, Kawasaki has released a few specifics about the Ninja 7 Hybrid.
