Ducati has released the newest Hypermotard 698 Mono to the global market. This flexible motorbike, according to the manufacturer, is intended for both city commuting and track performance. Ducati has not yet confirmed the Hypermotard 698 Mono’s possible release in the Indian market.
Interestingly, the Hypermotard 698 Mono bike’s engine, the Superquadro Mono, is without a doubt its most notable characteristic. This one-cylinder engine is said to have the highest power in its class. The 659 cc liquid-cooled engine is the core of the motorbike, producing a maximum power of 76.43 bhp at 9,750 rpm and a peak torque of 62.76 Nm at 8,000 rpm. Furthermore, Ducati intends to provide an A2 variant with a lower output of power and torque.

According to Ducati, the bike has a 6-speed transmission with gear ratios derived from the Panigale V4’s experience. Most notably, the first gear has been extended to maximize the power available by making it easier to use in slow bends. Furthermore, Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) is an option for the gearbox, which allows for both upshifting and downshifting.
Additionally, a completely adjustable Sachs mono-shock at the back and fully adjustable 5 mm Marzocchi upside-down forks at the front control the Hypermotard 698 Mono’s suspension. Brembo M4.32 4-piston radial calipers at the front and 240 mm discs at the back of a 330 mm diameter disc help with braking. It also has dual-channel ABS for added braking support.
Ducati offers various electronic assistance for the Hypermotard 698 Mono, including Engine Brake Control, Ducati Power Launch, Ducati Wheelie Control, and Ducati Traction Control. Moreover, the motorbike is equipped with four unique riding modes: Sport, Road, Urban, and Wet. It also has three power modes: Low, Mid, and High.
