The day has finally come, Volkswagen has launched the Volkswagen Golf GTI in India on May 26, 2025. Years of waiting are over, and this GTI brings in peak features, an eye-catching look, and strong performance. Anyone who loved hot hatches when they grew up will be thrilled by this new car. Rather than an everyday car, this is a declaration you make.

Anyone who loves exciting performance or just stylish trim and advanced technology will appreciate what the VW Golf GTI has to give. So, let’s discuss what makes this hot hatch such a big deal.

Why VW Golf GTI is the Hottest Hatchback in India Right Now

Its 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine sends 265 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque to the wheels. The car’s 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox gets it from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. A front-wheel drive hatchback shouldn’t handle this well, yet this Ford does.

Its speed mixed with normal driving makes the VW Golf GTI stand out. Spirits can move you quickly if that’s what you want or comfort you when you need it. The Adaptive Chassis Control, several drive modes and accurate steering make driving the car much more enjoyable, no matter where you are.

If you’ve ever searched for the Volkswagen GTI on the Indian market, there’s now a good reason to be thrilled.

Volkswagen GTI Features, Interior & Tech

Entre the Golf VW GTI and you’ll see an inside that’s sporty but also premium. The upholstery has iconic tartan, and there are eye-catching red accents throughout the cabin. Not only do the sports seats look great, but they’re also comfortable while you’re driving.

With their touchscreens and digital displays, Models 5 and XLE simplify navigation, enjoyment of media, and personal settings inside the car. Combine wireless charging, multiple climate zones, and a range of ambient lights, and you end up with a vehicle that’s enjoyable in every way.

There’s even something better to consider. What counts inside the Volkswagen Golf GTI isn’t only its appearance. Modern tech, such as Lane Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Park Assist, is included as well. Having excitement and safety together is something young professionals and those owning their first car will enjoy.

Volkswagen GTI Price in India and Availability: Is the VW GTI Worth It?

VW will bring the GTI to India as a CBU, with an ex-showroom price of ₹53 lakh. Given how much it offers, the Giulietta is well worth considering when you look at its higher sticker price.

Every single car in that first group of 150 orders was quickly sold out by demand. Later this year, another batch of vehicles will arrive. Therefore, you should hurry if you want to buy the Volkswagen GTI in India.

If you compare the Volkswagen GTI available hots high-end sedans or SUVs at a similar price, the GTI has a unique sporty vibe, makes driving fun, and is a smaller car. Enjoying your drives is more important than having a car.

Where to Buy the Golf VW GTI in India: Dealerships, Bookings & Future Plans

You have the chance to book a Volkswagen Golf GTI at some of our Volkswagen Performance dealerships located in major cities. We believe that the next batch’s bookings will be opened around the end of this year, and customers will start receiving their cars in early 2026.

The GTI’s success could lead to Volkswagen introducing more models in India. As a result, VW has a chance to make a significant impact with its future launches in India.

If you’ve looked for a VW Golf GTI near you by typing into a search bar, it may be closer than you expected.

Conclusion

The Volkswagen Golf GTI is not only a flashy hatchback; it’s also a way of life. It’s for anyone looking for excitement on the road, a stylish cabin, and all the comfort and technology at their fingertips. Due to limited supply, high demand, and best-in-class features, the GTI is looking like one of the most popular performance cars in India this coming year.

The 2.8-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel engine will be retained in the Hilux MHEV, but it will be improved with a 48-volt mild hybrid system.

Toyota has released a mild-hybrid version of the Hilux in the European market following successful prototype testing in Africa. The 2.8-litre, four-cylinder turbodiesel engine has been modified with a 48-volt mild hybrid system to boost fuel economy and driving performance. This configuration, which includes the turbodiesel engine, a tiny electric motor, and a 48-volt battery, is believed to be operated by a 6-speed automatic transmission, though specifics have not been published.

Toyota claims “enhanced on- and off-road performance,” but there is no sacrifice on towing and payload capacity, which remain at 3,500 kg and 1,000 kg, respectively. The mild-hybrid setup’s component location allows for a 700 mm water-wading depth. Toyota previously said that this technology will provide improved torque assistance, smoother start and stop operations, regenerative braking, and up to 10% greater fuel economy than a diesel powertrain.

Toyota’s sophisticated TNGA-F platform, shared with the Land Cruiser 300 and Lexus LX500d, is slated to be used for the next-generation Fortuner and Hilux. Internal combustion engines and hybrid powertrains may both be accommodated on this chassis.

The car is painted in the classic Verde Mantis (green) and Nero Noctis (black) colors, with a tricolor band going over the front hood and up to the top. Aside from that, both doors are emblazoned with the “Squadra Corse Anniversario” emblem. The Squadra Corse symbol can also be seen on the rear fin of the car, which extends from the air scoop to the opposing side of the rear bonnet. The vehicle features a spectacular complete carbon fiber kit with Rosso Mars (red) highlights.

The Huracan’s interior has sport seats upholstered in Nero Ade (black) Alcantara with Verde Fauns (green) stitching and four-point seat belts. In addition, the car includes an aluminum roll bar, a carbon fiber floor covering, and a carbon fiber plaque on the back firewall.

While the car keeps the same 5.2 liter V10 engine that generates 622 bhp and 565 Nm of torque, engineers have optimized the aerodynamics with new front carbon fiber flicks and a rear flap with an improved angle to maximize downforce both front and back. Mechanical grip has been greatly boosted by the employment of racing-derived shock absorbers and special tires developed in partnership with Bridgestone. The Akrapovic titanium exhaust, which improves the sound of the V10 engine, rounds off the car’s equipment.

Mechanically, the MC20 Notte is identical to the ordinary MC20. The biggest distinction is the use of all-black on both the exterior and the interior.

The Notte model is painted in matte black ‘Nero Essenza’ paint with matte white gold trident insignia, logos, and lettering. The wheels have also been changed for this special model, which now has 20-inch matte black birdcage wheels with matte white golden accents.

Lamborghini’s first series production hybrid, the Revuelto, marks the start of the brand’s march towards electrification.

The Lamborghini Revuelto V12 Hybrid will be introduced in India on December 6, 2023. The Revuelto, the Aventador’s successor, inherits the V12 engine design of its predecessors but adds hybrid power for superior performance.

The Revuelto is straight away recognized as a Lamborghini, with numerous familiar design cues drawn from Lamborghini’s recent line of special edition cars. The nose is distinguished by a sharp bumper and Y-shaped LED light components. The primary headlights are recessed at the base of the bonnet. The side has sharp lines and big vents in front of the rear wheels that feed air into the engine room.

The Revuelto has a somewhat distinctive look around the back, with a high-set central exhaust placed right below the active rear wing. The taillights are also Y-shaped, with a muscular back bumper finishing off the appearance.

The interior, like its predecessor, has two seats and may be outfitted with up to three screens. Behind the steering wheel is a digital instrument cluster, and the co-driver can have a specialized display located on the dashboard. Meanwhile, a portrait-style center touchscreen controls a multitude of in-car features.

The car’s engine, on the other hand, is its standout feature. The Revuelto’s V12 engine, while still displacing 6.5 liters, is an all-new powerplant that was not brought over from the Aventador. The engine has been rotated 180 degrees in the engine compartment, and it is now partnered with a new transversely mounted 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. Meanwhile, the battery pack for the plug-in hybrid powertrain is housed in the former gearbox tunnel. In terms of the hybrid powertrain, two electric motors are mounted on the front axle, with a third incorporated into the gearbox to drive the back wheels. The configuration results in a total output of 1001 horsepower and a 0-100 kmph sprint time of 2.5 seconds.

In India, the Revuelto is expected to cost more than Rs 8 crore (ex-showroom).
