More information on the new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 motorbike is becoming available online as its release draws closer. Additional details regarding this brand-new Royal Enfield motorbike, such as its engine specifications and measurements, have just been revealed in a leaked document. Contrary to earlier rumors that it would be called the Himalayan 450, the document also unexpectedly specifies that the motorcycle would be known as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 452.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 will be fitted with a new four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 451.65cc engine with a maximum output of 40 PS at 8,000 rpm, according to the information in the document that Zigwheels leaked. The torque output is not stated in the text, although it is assumed to be in the 40–45 Nm range. The motorbike will also come equipped with a 6-speed gearbox system.

The Himalayan 452 will include a new LED headlight, dual-functioning LED tail lights, upside-down telescopic front forks, a rear mono-shock, and a rounded fully digital instrument dashboard, according to spy photos that have been released thus far. Additionally, traction control and slide and assist clutch are expected to be included in the 2019 Royal Enfield Himalayan 452, a first for a Royal Enfield motorbike.

The brand-new Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 will make its public premiere during the company’s yearly “Motoverse” celebration in Goa from November 24 to 26. The new Himalayan 452 offers significant improvements over the outgoing Himalayan 411, including a bigger, more powerful engine, liquid cooling, better suspension, wider tires, and bigger disc brakes. Additionally, it adds new features, some of which are now unavailable on any other Royal Enfield motorcycles.

The new Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 is a response to the rapidly expanding single-cylinder adventure motorcycle market. The new Himalayan 452, with its more potent engine and other additional features, will directly compete with bikes like the KTM 390 Adventure and BMW G 310 GS, while the existing Himalayan 411 competes with models like the KTM 250 Adventure, Benelli TRK 251, and Yezdi Adventure. Furthermore, there are claims that Hero MotoCorp is creating a 400-450cc-powered version of the Xpulse, which, if true, would directly compete with the Himalayan 452.
