The names to watch are the BMW F 450 R, the Triumph Bonneville 400, the Norton Atlas and updated Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and N250 models. Sharad Navratri starts on 11 October and Diwali falls on 8 November, so brands want new bikes in showrooms before the festive rush. Here is what is coming and what it may cost.

BMW F 450 R: when will it come to India?
BMW scheduled the global reveal of the F 450 R for 1 October. It is a naked roadster built on the made-in-India F 450 GS, with the same 420cc parallel twin making about 48hp and 43Nm.
BMW has not announced an India date. Listing sites expect Rs 4.10 to 4.50 lakh, expected, not officially confirmed. That would make it BMW's most affordable naked bike here, below the F 450 GS, which now costs Rs 4.95 lakh after a recent price hike. Who it is for: riders moving up from a 390 Duke or Apache RR 310 who want a twin-cylinder with a premium badge.
Triumph Bonneville 400: a new Classic 350 rival?
The Bonneville 400 is the seventh model on the Bajaj-Triumph 400 platform and the most retro one. The Indian version uses a 349cc liquid-cooled single with about 36.5 to 40hp and 32Nm, a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch.
91wheels reports a launch before Diwali and BikeAdvice points to early October. The expected price is around Rs 2.40 to 2.45 lakh, expected, not officially confirmed. Who it is for: Classic 350 and Hunter buyers who want a liquid-cooled engine and a British name.
What is changing on the 2026 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and N250?
Autocar India has spotted both bikes with a 5-inch TFT display, borrowed from the Pulsar N160 SS, and new switchgear with a four-way controller. The NS200 gets a WP upside-down fork and adjustable levers. The engines stay the same. Bajaj is expected to launch them ahead of the festive season, but has not given a date.
A TFT with turn-by-turn navigation is welcome. If your current Pulsar lacks one, a handlebar-mounted bike CarPlay screen adds maps and music without trading in the bike.
When will Norton bikes launch in India?
TVS-owned Norton has started building the Atlas at Hosur. The Atlas and road-biased Atlas GT share a 585cc parallel twin with 70hp, a six-axis IMU, five riding modes and an 8-inch TFT. BikeDekho and ZigWheels list October, while BikeAdvice expects October to November. Autocar India had estimated Rs 5.70 to 6.70 lakh. Norton has not confirmed the date or price.
Which scooters are launching in October 2026?
No new scooter has a confirmed October launch date. For festive scooter shoppers, the fresh options are September's launches: the Honda QC3, Simple Wave, BGauss C12 MaxR and Ather's affordable Konarc, which is already on sale.

- EICMA in November: Royal Enfield, Hero and Bajaj are tipped to show new adventure models in Milan. ZigWheels lists a Himalayan 750 for November.
New bike owners should sort security and comfort before the first long ride. A 4-digit helmet lock keeps your lid safe on the bike, and a heavy-duty cable lock adds a second layer when parked in a festive market.
