The Sierra EV is set to go on sale in Q2 FY2027 meaning July to September 2026 making it roughly 8-9 months after the ICE Sierra launched. It will slot between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV in Tata's electric lineup.

The Sierra EV is expected to offer 55kWh and 65kWh battery options, with single-motor RWD and dual-motor AWD setups. This makes it the only sub-₹35L electric SUV in India to offer AWD a meaningful differentiator against the Curvv EV and Nexon EV.

The Safari EV will be Tata's first three-row electric offering and will serve as the flagship of its EV lineup, targeting the festive season of 2026. This is a genuinely new segment in India no other mass-market brand offers a 7-seat electric SUV under ₹40 lakh right now

Tiago & Tigor Facelifts : What's Changing

Tata's entry-level models have been on sale with minimal updates for quite a while, and test mules of an updated Tiago EV were spotted on Indian roads earlier this year. The four facelifts covering both ICE and EV versions of the Tiago and Tigor are expected in the second half of FY2027. 

The refreshed Tiago and Tigor EVs could feature Tata's new 6-in-1 drivetrain that debuted with the 2026 Punch EV facelift. This consolidated powertrain unit reduces weight, improves efficiency, and should bring better range to both models the current Tiago EV's 315 km range is starting to look dated against newer competition.
