It will break cover on July 5 and is likely to go on sale on the same day

  • Invicto will be the top of the automaker’s MPV line-up.
  • There will be some changes to the design, including 3-piece LED lighting and a new grille.
  • Maruti may offer a new themed interior compared to the Toyota MPV’s tawny design.
  • Features on board will include a panoramic sunroof, a 10-inch touchscreen and ADAS.
  • It gets the same petrol and hybrid petrol powertrains as the Innova Hycross.
  • Maruti could price the Invicto from Rs 19 lakh (ex-showroom).

The MPV derived from the Toyota Innova Highcross has been officially named ‘Invict’ after recent rumours about the name ‘Maruti Engage’. It is said to be the automaker’s latest flagship. The new Maruti Invicto MPV will debut on July 5th and is expected to hit the market on the same day.

What would it look like?

The Maruti Invicto is nearly identical to the Toyota Innova Hycross, but recently released spy shots show some brand-specific changes to distinguish the two. These include 3-piece LED headlights and taillights and a new grille design with two chrome strips connecting the headlights. There is a high possibility that new aluminium wheels will also be installed.

The interior dashboard layout is similar to the Toyota MPV, but may have a new cabin theme.

Equipment installed in Maruti MPV

Invict is supposed to get the same equipment list as Toyota. This includes premium features such as a 10-inch touchscreen device, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, digital driver display and power tailgate.

Occupant safety is ensured by up to six airbags, vehicle stability control (VSC) and front and rear parking sensors, making it the first Maruti to offer Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

A Choice Of Two Petrol Powertrains

The Maruti replacement for the Toyota Innova Highcross will have the same powertrain options. The MPV comes standard with a 2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (174 hp / 205 Nm) and his CVT automatic transmission. No manual option. The Toyota MPV also features a powerful hybrid powertrain using a 186 hp (combined) 2-litre petrol engine and an electric motor. Combined with the E-CVT, it delivers an efficiency of over 21 km/h.

How much will it cost?

We expect the automaker to price the Invict at Rs 1.9 lakh (excluding showrooms). The only direct rival is the Toyota Innova Highcross, which puts it between Kia Carens and Carnival.

With the increased use of dashboard cameras, it is now possible to view different accidents from different perspectives. This is something that happened some time ago that shows why slow-moving cars are so dangerous on highways. For this reason, slow-moving vehicles cannot pass on expressways.

Video captured by a Maruti Suzuki Baleno dashcam shows a relatively empty highway somewhere in Tamil Nadu. A Maruti Suzuki Baleno was driving in the rightmost lane at a moderate speed when the driver spotted an autorickshaw.

Instead of slowing, the driver drifts to the left and can pass the auto-rickshaw and keep going. However, the auto-rickshaw also starts running to the left. The driver of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno was unable to find an exit and crashed into the rear of the autorickshaw.

As a result of this accident, a man fell from a rickshaw. Several women sat in the backseat of the auto-rickshaw, which crashed into the Baleno’s hood. No one was seriously injured in this accident.

But who do you think is at fault here?

The driver of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno also tried to pass on the left side of the tricycle, although the primary responsibility for the accident lay with the tricycle driver who changed lanes without checking his mirrors. In general, such autorickshaws do not move when you honk their horns, so the Baleno driver may have tried to overtake them on the left. However, both parties are equally responsible for this crash.

In general, it is recommended to pass vehicles on the right side. It is also important to avoid driving into the blind spots of other vehicles. Trucks in particular have large blind spots, and the limited visibility area for truck drivers is larger on the left side. When overtaking, it is recommended to use the right lane. In India, where right-hand drive vehicles are fitted, visibility is usually better on the right than on the left. On highways, it is preferable to overtake on the right, as there are no right-turn lanes on the right where vehicles can suddenly change direction. Due to the right-hand drive setup, drivers tend to pay more attention to the right than the left.

Therefore, it is recommended to always overtake on the right side. When passing a large vehicle such as a bus or truck, it is important to perform manoeuvres quickly and flash your headlights to signal your intentions. These are basic road safety precautions that help you avoid potential risks. Also, it is important to always pay attention while driving. It is recommended to stop and rest when you feel tired. Alternatively, if possible, consider hiring someone else to drive.

Since its launch in January 2023, Thar RWD has enjoyed great success in India. The Mahindra Thar RWD is more affordable, making it a top choice for buyers who want the rugged appeal of a Thar without the luxury of a four-wheel drive. The popularity of thar RWD is evidenced by the current wait time of up to 17 months.

For the diesel version of the Mahindrathal RWD, which has a 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 6-speed manual gearbox, the waiting period is 17 months. In contrast, the petrol version of the Thar RWD has a much shorter wait time of just one month. This indicates that the diesel version is in high demand, despite the petrol version being more powerful but less efficient.

Available in two variants, the Thar RWD Diesel features a smaller 1.5-litre diesel engine as opposed to the larger and more powerful 2.2-litre diesel engine of the Thar 4WD diesel. The Thar 4WD’s 2.2-litre diesel engine produces 130 horsepower, while the Taal RWD’s smaller 1.5-litre diesel engine produces a maximum output of 118 horsepower. Surprisingly, both diesel engines have the same maximum torque of 300Nm.

Thar 4X2 launched to reach more customers

Unlike the Thar 4WD Diesel, which offers both a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission, the Thar RWD Diesel is only available with a 6-speed manual transmission. Meanwhile, the Thar RWD petrol engine shares a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder medallion turbocharged petrol engine with the Thar 4WD petrol engine, delivering the same power and torque of 150 hp and 300 Nm respectively. The Thar 4WD Petrol is only available with a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the Thar 4WD Petrol is available with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.

Of course, the Mahindra Thar RWD lacks some of the off-road capabilities of the Thar 4WD with its all-wheel-drive system and its manually operated 4×4 transfer case. However, the Thar RWD is equipped with a manual limited-slip differential, which, while not as smooth as the 4WD version, still has good traction over rough terrain. The 4WD version of the Thar will be offered in both hardtop and convertible body styles, while the RWD version will be limited to the hardtop body version.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny is launching soon

Maruti Suzuki will soon launch the new Jimny in the Indian market. The new all-terrain vehicle is set to go on sale next month and should take most of the sales away from Thar. The Maruti Suzuki Jimny will likely have a long wait, but will likely remain significantly cheaper than the Thar.

The country’s largest automaker, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, is preparing to launch its most expensive model yet in the coming months. We are talking about the premium MPV Maruti Suzuki Engage. This upcoming MPV is another of his badged models co-developed with fellow Japanese auto giant Toyota Kirloskar Motors. The Engage MPV is based on the Toyota Innova Hycross, with minor external adjustments to distinguish it from the Innova Hycross. A video recently surfaced online showing what this newest Maruti Suzuki MPV looks like.

A video rendering of this upcoming MPV has been shared by Barawala Designs on their YouTube channel. The video begins with the front of the Engage MPV. In the video, we can see that the front grille of the Toyota Innova Hicross has been replaced with that of Maruti Suzuki’s current flagship, the Grand Vitara. Additionally, the Toyota badging has been replaced with a Suzuki badging and a new signature Maruti Suzuki chrome stripe has been added to the grille. Other than that, the front end is essentially identical to that of the previous Toyota Innova Highcross.

In terms of the side profile of the rendered car, not much has changed, the only big difference you can notice is the different sets of alloy wheels. The redesigned MPV’s alloy wheels are the same as those currently offered on the Grand Vitara. Nothing has changed on the Engage rendering backend except for adding the chrome stripes and the Suzuki logo. Aside from exterior changes, there are no major changes inside this upcoming MPV, keeping all the amenities and features of the Toyota Innova Highcross mostly intact.

Maruti Suzuki Engage Expected Front Look

In terms of features, we can expect the Indo-Japanese carmaker Maruti Suzuki to offer a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment display, a digital driver’s display, dual-zone temperature control, and ventilated front seats in the Maruti premium MPV. Additionally, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, a 360-degree camera, and connected car technology are likely to be included. Meanwhile, on the safety front, the car could come equipped with front and rear parking sensors, up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, vehicle stability control (VSC), a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and ADAS features, including lane-keeping and departure aid, adaptive cruise control, and auto-emergency braking.

As for the powertrain side of things, the premium MPV Engage will most likely be available from Maruti Suzuki with the same drivetrain choices as the Innova Hycross. This suggests that the 2.0-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine and the 2.0-litre petrol-hybrid engine will be the two powerplant options for this MPV. The naturally aspirated petrol engine delivers 173 hp and 209 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the Innova Hycross’s 2.0-litre petrol hybrid powertrain reaches a maximum output of 184 horsepower and a full fuel consumption of 23.24 km/h.
