After a successful debut in India earlier this year, Royal Enfield has now expanded the availability of its flagship model, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, to the North American market.
The 2023 Royal Enfield Super Meteor, manufactured in India, has now been officially announced in the United States and Canada, providing aficionados with three unique variations – Astral, Interstellar, and Celestial.
The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 in North America is powered by the same 648 cc parallel-twin cylinder engine, which produces 46.3 horsepower at 7,250 rpm and 52.3 Nm of peak torque at 5,650 rpm. This engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission. The front forks are 43 mm Showa Big Piston USD with 120 mm of travel, while the rear shock absorbers are 5-step pre-load adjustable featuring 101 mm of travel.

The braking system consists of a 320 mm front disc with two-piston ByBre calipers and a 300 mm rear disc brake with a single-piston caliper. Dual-channel ABS is a default feature. The Super Meteor comes outfitted with 19-inch front and 16-inch rear alloy wheels wrapped in CEAT Zoom Cruz tires.
It has a variety of features, including an LED headlight, a USB connector, a Tripper navigation system with Bluetooth connectivity, danger lights, and other amenities.
The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 has been designed for long travels on wide, well-maintained highways, making the United States and Canada excellent markets for its release. While the Astral and Interstellar variants cater to single riders, the Celestial model is designed as a grand tourer, with a variety of touring gear. Color options for the SM 650 include Green, Black, and Blue for the Astral model, as well as a two-tone Interstellar Grey or Interstellar Green for the dual-tone edition.
The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 has a price range of $6,999 to $7,499 (which is approximately 5.82 lakh to 6.24 lakh). The cruiser will be available at US showrooms in the weeks to come.
